Independent musician Scott Hallam, of Gunsling Birds, discovered the Mangoose catalog in a rather round about fashion. Robert Hunter-Rivera, the former room mate of one of Scott's high school friends, introduced him to the music of Raśl Picaporte a few years back. Scott, a rather tasty songwriter in his own right (check out his myspace page), fell in love with Raśl's music and sank his teeth into what is Mangoose, perhaps a little farther than he should have! Here is his rendition of a Jay Brockman classic, "I Don't Want To Go Home To Arkansas" - Click to play.
